Spent hours looking everywhere on the internet no one seems to have any luck how can a problem like this go un detected? Mine wont update from a usb or the internet cant rebuild database and from what I've heard of you try and reset you lose all the data and nothing happens.

No idea if this will get an answer but I did everything i have read… all the way up to completly resetting the system and it still went bck to that loop. Has anyone figured this out? Alright so. I might have a fix. If you have play station plus your save data should automatically save ti the could. Dont worry about save data. I chose option 6 and it does sadly reset the playstation but after chosing that i let the system do its thing until it cam onto the brand new system set up screen for the time and date.
Once it gets the tht point hokd the power button for about 8secinds so the system comepletly shuts off there will be a second click. After the second click and the light is completly off unplug all cords. Leave it completly unplugged for about 1 to 2 hours.
